Default Best Rematch of all time

In your opinion, what rematch raised the bar from their first encounter?

    Ali-Frazier 3 was a good one

Eubank-Watson II. I haven't seen it since if happened live, but I just remember that it was an awesome fight.

    My personal favourite is Hearns/LeonardII.

I think Zale/GrazianoII was probably the best.

    Others modern superb rematches that come to mind include Bowe/HolyfieldII; Liles/LittlesII; Rigby/AyersII (not quite as good as the first fight though); MAB/Morales; Ward/GattiII and Robinson/GattiII;

    I like the Holyfield/Bowe rematch.

I love that fight. That Gatti-Ward and MAB-Morales would be my favourites

I watched the Randy Turpin Sugar Ray Robinson fight this evening for the first time. That was a pretty damn good fight too. Robinson really laid him to him at the end. The slow motion replay was actually brilliant especially considering it was 1951. Turpin looked like Castillo at the end of the first Corales fight.

The rematch alwasy seems to be won more one sidedly then the first fight. Barerra beat Morales the first time. And Morales beat him easier the second time. Greatest rematch of all time.

    Archie Moore vs. Durelle

Was that the one where Archie got knocked down about 5 times before coming back to win?

What a three round, one sided blow out?

I know there is no wrong answers, but you would take that over say Bowe/HolyfieldII?

Fine then Britkid, it was the best series.

See now you make me bring out Robinson Basillio and robinson Fullmer

I suppose if am playing 'trumps' with Starr, the April 17 1909 rematched fight of Joe Jeanette/Sam McVey(a), with 50+ knockdowns in 49 rounds, probably was your best all time rematch under Queensberry Rules.

If you would rather play the trumps then I say the rematch with Robinson Basillio is better then that one still.

But my fave is Britkid and Purist.

200 years of boxing knowledge in their rematch had to be the greatest of all time
