ricky hatton is a facinating character and boxer.part of the intrique is he is undefeated and has a huge fallowing back home.he also longs for world wide respect and is willing to work for it.to me ,i wish he had 5 years left.if ricky stays diciplined he can stay at his peak wt class and clean out the division proving that the tszyu fight wasnt a fluke.marvin hagler stayed at middlewt because he new that was his ideal wt class and proved he was a alltime great 160 lb fighter.he could have jumped up to 175 and fought micheal spinks and lost and then not be looked at the same today.look at mosely,mr bold ,will fight anybody jumped from 135 to 147 beat delahoya and he is on top of the world.then loses to forrest twice and then to wright twice and the general public thinks he was over rated and washed up.most casual fans dont understand the significance of jumping to a higher wt division, they think if you lose your garbage.look how many people think delahoya is through because he was stopped by hopkins.who would have thought delahoya would ever have fought hopkins, let alone give him a run for his money.yet these idiots knock him because he got stopped.i guess what i am trying to say is if he stays at 140 and beats everybody put in front of that would be fine with me as long as he fights to his potential.if he decided to fight at 147 lbs i would believe in him also because i think he can hold his own at either wt division.at 147 i dont think he would dominate as much,i think he would win some big fights and lose some big fights.i think he should finish all his 140 lb business before he goes up ,if he goes up,because this up and down in wt divisions could ruin him .look at roy jones, and look at rickys last fight .the stamina was a issue because ricky had to lose muscle to make wt.he gained the muscle for collazo and lost it for urango.i get the feeling he will beat castillo by points, but you just never know.the castillo fight is one of his defining fights and i hope he pulls it off.good luck hatton!
