I know you're half-joking here, but I think there are a lot of people who really think that Miranda is this terrifying type of fighter.
What did he do in the Green fight that would terrify opponents? That fight was boring as hell for the first 7 rounds, with neither guy doing anything.
Miranda got knocked down by Green, so obviously he's not indestructable. Yes, he recovered and hurt Green badly in the 10th, but it's not like he scored some devestating KO victory.

No and I agree I never said he was indestructable....No one really wants to take the chance though.....As for the Green knockdown IMO that was more of a flash knockdown that caught Miranda out of no where.....

Again Green was not a willing guy was he?....He talked a lot of S*** before the fight but we alll know what happens in situations like that./...

Talk and courage are all good until you actually feel for yourself what the hoopla is about....

Miranda is a work is progress...I have said in other threads he is IMO a small version of Sam Peter...

His offense is scary....If his defense would improve then you have a monstor in action...

Peter is improving with every fight....Both are young guys....

    Only time will tell though

Miranda is more flavor-of-the-month than legit elite at this point. That's not saying he can't make trouble in the top ten, but he's virtually coming from nowhere and people are ready to hand him a title.

How many times have we seen fighters do a smash-and-grab in whatever division? Remember Dominick Guinn? He was great! Hard chin, decent defense and stamina, good power. He smacked the crap out of Duncan Dokiwari and people were ready to throw him up on a cross. Then came Monte Barrett.

Let Miranda age a little. I'm not saying he can't be great or that he doesn't have anything, but to say he deserves to be shot straight to the top is ridiculous; he doesn't. Remember, he lost to Arthur Abraham. Losing is typically a setback. And putting Miranda next to Taylor is an insult to all the other guys who have legitimately worked to get up there.

Say what you want about Winky Wright being a light middle; at the time of the weigh in he was 1591/4 pounds. That's called a middleweight. And he was no walk-thru for Taylor, I had him winning the fight as a matter of fact. Kassim Ouma was Taylor's first "break" if you insist on calling it that in about a year and a half since becoming champ.

How is Winky Wright ranked #4 when he drew with JT? Do you seriously believe Kelly Pavlik and Miranda deserve to be ranked ahead of him? Other than Bronco McKart who is on his resume? But he's ahead of WW? And Miranda who lost 2 fights ago is ahead of WW? Khoren Gevor's resume is filled with people you've never heard of and he's #3 (I'm looking at the WBC's rankings).
    Oops
