Montell Griffin is not really a great fighter and neither is Woods. Jones was awesome in his middleweight/supermiddleweight days (when he did face good opposition) and I give him all the props in the world for beating Ruiz for a heavyweight title fraction. I have always liked Roy Jones Jr, but he has fought more bums, gas station attendents and garbagemen than any other hall of fame fighter ever has, man. He ran his career in a safe and businesslike way; getting paid for doing the least amount of work. He could have fought Tarver earlier in his career and maybe even closed the book on him so he never had to rematch him. He could have fought Darius Michaelzewski
or traveled to Wales to fight Calzaghe years ago. He could have given Toney a rematch at light heavy or Hopkins a rematch at super middle. He had all kinds of options but chose to take the easier fights and too many times, put more effort into his ring entrances/rap performances than he did into fighting worthy opposition. I love RJJ but it's true. You can't make a mark knocking out a garbage man, even if you fight him with your hands behind your back.
