Well, there is a reason for that.. He has no amatuer experience, and is very young... So yes, if he fought anyone near the top 10 now he probably would get beat.. But it's not fair to say that WHEN he does he'll get beat, because he has no reason to fight top opposition for quite some time.. I don't know why I hear this so often with regards to young prospects... "Oh, so and so will get beat whenever they fight anyone in the top 10"... Well yeah, if they haven't fought anyone in the top 50 then you'd have to assume that's probably correct... But it doesn't mean a damn thing about what the fighter will accomplish given time, it's all about stepping up the competition gradually, especially with limited amatuer backgrounds. If Amir Khan, Chavez Jr, etc. fight a top 10 opponent next week, they will lose. That does not mean they can't be top 10 fighters someday. It's fairly simple really.Originally Posted by littlebif
