Not to be a pill but thinking about it, Calzaghe really has never stopped a top quality fighter.

Lacy was quality. Joe could have stopped him if he had wanted to. I think he wanted to put a punishing hurt on him for as long as possible and give him a boxing lesson. But yeah, you are pretty much right. Didn't he KO Chris Eubanks a ways back though?
