Yeah and can you imagine Tyson skills with Valuev Size/weight....he would have decapitated holyfield with his fists or teeth :-)

No seriously, I'm not that convinced that being Big make you a better fighter.

Holyfield at 6"5 and 250lbs ? means a fighter who is slower than the holifield we actually know...

250lbs ? mean less stamina in my book that the incredible pack of muscles of 220lbs holyfield...being a giant make you easier to hit....

no really, Holyfield proved that being as he is was an excellent combination...

If holyfield was 250 pounds that would be called human growth hormone plus steroids,, but seriosuly he was what he was due to adversity, he really isnt all that much bigger than roy jones if he stopped heavy lifting, and to be honest had comparable hanspeed to roy aS A cruizer he just chose to go up to heavyweight

Holyfield has the best fighters brain in the division even now...actually more so now, not that it matters at this point. His size makes him more amazing. A bigger Holyfield could never impress me as much and wouldnt have been in as many wars because hed be knocking everyone out

Hail Holyfield one of the Heroes for ever!!!!

I think that a little bigger would have helped him alot against Bowe and the new breed.

COMING BACK? Here are some of my thoughts on comebacks:

Foreman Always had his height and size, if other things failed. He kept that and added a defence and strategy in his second coming . I think that when Holy is coming back the problem is that there is nothing he can radically improve to compensate for what he has lost, he will just be worse.
I believe on the other hand that Corrie Sanders has a great potential comeback, because there are things that he so obviously can improve and, like Foreman, become a better fighter the second time around (stamina, defence). His last fights being destruction of Wlad and 8 rounds against Vitali, we know that few fighters will scare him or show him something he can't over come.

CC to JT Rock, his post was a great one and probably dead on.. Though speculation, you have to imagine Evander would have given up other qualities if he was naturally bigger... And if we are to assume he wouldn't have, then you may as well say what if Pernel Whittaker weighed 300 pounds but didn't lose a step...

I kind of took the post to mean a bigger Evander but w/ all his abilities included. I always felt that the bulking up Evander did was what adversely effected his stamina. That combined w/ the fact he felt he had to slug it out instead of using his great counter punching. A bigger Holy is able better box Bowe instead of being pulled into a shootout. He is also able to force Lennox to truly fight it out and not use his long jab and height to keep Evander at a distance. I really wish that Evander had fought at 205 and utilized his boxing and speed throughout his HW career instead of bulking up to try to better punch w/ the HW's. Of course a bigger or smaller Evander might have robbed of us the great wars he was in. IMHO the "Real Deal" beats any Tyson any day of the week. He simply was a better and tougher fighter.
