Ithink he was shafted by judges v Vargas and v Harry Simon , but i find it hard to see how a crude slugger like J C Vasquez floored Winky so many times , maybe just inexperience.
So to sum up i think Winky deserves to be regarded as a great fighter who could have held is own in any era , a style for the boxing purists , but he is a tremendous fighter. and a good guy also.
Enjoy him cos when hes gone we will miss him defensive master , fight anyone anywere , true champ ,
Ronald Winky Wright.
WOT DO YOU GUYS THINK ?
Wright’s one of my top five favorite fighters.

He falls in right between Hopkins & Mayweather jr.

Wright is a purists dream…by that I mean that he pretty much hits on all cylinders for those that love to watch the art of boxing. Wright is the personification of everything that I like in the sport.

Beautiful jab, good movement, controls the ring, & has one hell of a jab…all Wright lacks is power to stop the show in each hand…again…that’s not what all boxing fans desire though.

Anywho, he beat Vargas & Simon but did indeed get drubbed outta the ring by Vasquez…everyone has a bad night & believe it or not…he fought a stupid fight.

Wright should go down as one of the top talents of the decade & his record speaks for itself.

Humiliated Trinidad, owned Mosley, & jumped up to 160lbs worked it & then went on to give Taylor one of his tuffest fights to date.

Very curious to see what happens against Hops.
