Apparently Hagler used to spend hours staring into the ocean, completely isolated. Should have done some fucking training shouldnt he!

Thing was (it states this in the article) team Hagler were foolish at the negotiating stage because they allowed Leonard to get it down from 15 to 12 rounds and agreed to use a ring the size of a football pitch.
Played straight into Sugar rays hands and gameplan.

I think i had Leonard ahead by 1 round or a draw Hagler gave away first 4 rounds its his fault for trying to box right handed all these people that say Hagler was robbed did you give Leonard first 4 rounds ??

Yeah.....everyone says 'Hagler was robbed' but if Hagler would of been giving that decision there woulda been a stronger case that Leonard was robbed. Leonard won that fight by a round.

I agree, i just didn't think Hagler done enough to win. He was out thought more than outboxed on the night. If Hagler was so pissed off then why no automatic rematch in Sept or Oct of that year!

I think I had it at Hagler winning by 1 pt. He could have made things so much easier if he didn't go southpaw early on? You could see it in Leonard's expression in the corner, even he was a bit befuddled that Hagler was essentially giving rounds.

Talked to a guy, editor of the paper out here, he was working the fight for a Miami paper that night ring side. Once Hagler turned it up, 4th or 5th round things changed he said. The whole time Leonard's punches would go "tisk, tisk" while Haglers sounded like gunshots. When Hagler made that late rally a few Leonard fans literally broke down and cried and had to leave. Makes it all the more surprising that Leonard got the decision and really the reason so many ringside had Hagler winning.

However, a very close affair, could have gone either way. Leonard - Hearns just celebrated 25 in September I believe. I think that was a better Leonard performance.

20 years WOW!!!....Instead of talking about who won and who should have i'll just say this....

Why doesn't Jermain Taylor,,Joe Calzaghe,,and every other champion from 154-176 watch this fight then watch their own fights.....Then maybe before they start talking about how great they are and how they are the best to ever hold their perspective titles ect...They will have something to reference their reigns to......And hopefully realize that they haven't don't S*** in terms of being all time greats...

Because in the 80's those boy's fought!!!....They didn't just have bouts to add on their records
Hidden Content IN CASE THEY ALL FORGOT WHAT REAL HEAVYWEIGHT POWER WAS!!!
