I think JT is right bub...you must not have ever wathced Chuck fight. He is a deadly accurate counter puncher w/ tremendous balance and use of angles. Does his style look like the next coming of Ali? Absolutely not, but thats b/c he isn't in a boxing match. I think you can agree that when kicks, 4 oz gloves and take downs are factored in, that a traditional boxing stance and style has to be changed. I'm not suggesting that Chuck is the same as a world class boxer, but he is one of the most feared strikers in his repsective sport and he has spent almost his entire life in one combat sport or another so its not like he hit a speed bag for the first time last year. MMA haters go on and on about the sports stand up aspect and how it looks nothign like boxing. Well no shit! As an American and and avid football fan I don't go on and on about how rugby players don't have the same running style as Walter Payton. They are two different sports with two very different styles. In regards to bareknuckle b/c the margin for error is so much smaller than in a traditional boxing match a big onus will be put on hand speed, accuracy and power. Chuck isn't known so much for great handspeed as he is great timing but he does posses great accuracy and power. How well would he do? I don't know, but I think he'd suprise alot of people.Originally Posted by Swashbuckling Gordy
