valuev to boxing, is like a pedophile priest to the church.
You just want him to go away, and never return.

    My take on Valuev....

    1. Yes, he's vastly improved over how he first started out.... a testament to his willingness to work at getting better.

    2. Yes, he's champion. It may be one of 27 different boxing organizations with all possible combination of WB__ and IB__, but he's champion.

    3. Yes, he's undefeated. Level of opposition aside, the man has not lost professionally.

BUT...... (and sorry Wacko, you had to know this was coming)....... the man outweighs everyone he fights by at least 100 pounds. Now, how is that fair? Tell me, why does every other division in boxing adhere to strict rules about weigh-ins (where even one pound over the limit gets you penalties, and draws crap from the crowd and the press)...... whereas the HW division is open-ended, and you could weigh a TON and still fight mere 200-pounders?

Hey, it's not Valuev's fault he's super-sized. But watching an almost 400-pound man, well over 7 feet tall, pounding on normal heavyweights isn't exactly my idea of sport.

Bring Valuev down to normal HW size, at his skill level...... and he gets KTFO by a handful of today's mediocre heavyweights. Matter of fact, he STILL may get KTFO by either of the Klitschko's.

In summary, I got nothing against the big man. But he should be fighting people his own size.

Valuev is a bum because he only fights bums!!!

If Valuev fights Wladimir Klitschko then I will respect him a little more.....once Nicolay wakes up from being knocked the FUNK out

Hey Titofan, agree with you my friend. If not due to the weight and size advantage, it is highly probable that Value's record would not include 0 loses. I agree he has improved, and that is showing his willingness to get better, and that talks very good about him. I really admire people who know how to identify their weaknesses and work seriously to get better. But, I don't think at this point we should be even thinking on the possibility to state that Value will be better (pound-for-pound) than Marciano, if his match or exceeds the existing record. It will be only statistics, but no everything is statistics. Actually, some politicians can use statistics in favor of them to trick their countries. Valuev still has a long (very long) distance to walk...

Hey PRP.... good to see you around. I'm just trying to put some perspective into the whole Valuev thing. I'm not dumping on him, 'cause he IS after all a champion who got his belt legitimately. But I also don't want to get carried away with his record or his achievements or anything like that, because the truth of the matter is... he's still fighting men who he outweighs by over 100 pounds! In sumo wrestling, that's OK. But in boxing, it's just not fair.
