I just saw the fight...and it was stopped wayyy too early...but I have to say in the ref's defense..that if a fighter just lays up against the ropes and takes 25-30 unanswered punches the ref has no choice but to assume the fighter is either hurt or quitting....I am a big Manfredo fan for the record with love for Joe C...I love all my paisans. As a fighter you must never put yourself in that kind of position....I could see why PM did what he was doing. If Joe C didn't take this fight seriously enough he surely would have punched himself out.. You might not train the way you normally do but you will fight like you normally do....I think PM got the short end of the stick because he was never hurt at all...but his strategy needed to include a few punches during those Joe C flurries just to show he was in the fight and could carry on..remember B-HOP /Taylor? I think with a different game plan this could have been a really entertaining fight. I never saw Joe C totally dominating...but he was fighting his fight...did I have him ahead..sure...but a fight is never over till it's OVER!!!
