especially the weight issue... I hadn't looked at it that way.

I think Mosley as a sparring partner for Oscar is a very important element. "I'm probably the closest thing fighting to Mayweather right now, so it will be a good advantage for Oscar to work with me. I will get some fight tapes and study Mayweather and his style. I will be able to imitate him and help Oscar dismantle Mayweather." "This is for Oscar's benefit. I will not try to outshine Oscar because this is not about me. I'm going to do what I can do to imitate Mayweather. I will make it difficult for Oscar to hit me, like Mayweather will."

According to Mosley him and Mayweather have had a lot of the same sparring partners and they told Shane that he is faster!!

Yeah can Mosley give a name of one of those sparring partners? There is no way Mosley is faster than Mayweather especially now. Also Mosley can't box like Mayweather, but I agree his speed will help prepare Oscar for FLoyd's.
Yeah, I agree with you. Shane has fast feet and fast hands and can throw some very fast flurries but Mayweather's speed is different, it's effective speed and amazing muscle reflexes. There's a total difference. I venture to say that if there could be some type of measurement for head and upper body movement that Floyd would be almost twice as fast as Mosley. Shane is fast on offense but he's no where near Mayweather in terms of defensive speed and elusiveness. Shane can get his offense off very fast but he also gets hit quite a bit. I think this is where ODLH will have problems with Floyd like everyone else has. Floyd isn't overwhelmingly unstoppable on offense but when you try to return and answer his punches, he's just extremely hard to find. Floyd doesn't have to use his speed around the ring, Floyd can sit in the pocket in the middle of the ring and he's hard to hit, Floyd can sit on the ropes, and he's hard to hit. Oscar can train with whoever he wants to throw as many jabs as he wants but he better be prepared to defend himself from right hand leads and pull counters after throwing each jab. Oscar is training to fight a smart fight where he can capitalize on Floyd's mistakes but Floyd doesn't make that many and his supreme boxing ability allows him to get by on the small mistakes that he does.
