As I've said, no pat on the back for my boy this time.
He started terribly as I expected. He looked all worned and washed out when he entered the ring - sure sign he's been cramming and/or struggling to make weight. He's always like that for his tune-up fights. Good for him and us pac-fan's, 50% pac was good enough for Solis.
I can't believe it, it just took a cut to get his fighting machine roaring again. If that's the case, then there shouldn't be any problem in the future, just bring some razors and cut him a bit before the fight to get him motivated.
As for Solis, he's got nothing to be ashamed of. At least he came in fighting his best, both in effort and style - his corner did well with the strategy. Within his 'capability' he came up with his best effort, and the best strategy. Sometimes it's just a matter of 'can' or 'can't' - and this turned out to be 'can't' for him, BUT...
at least he gave all he's got and to me that's what really matters the most. For this, I'm giving him a 'medal of valor.' And for my boy? hmm, let me think.......... I'll give him a lollipop.
