Right and IMO by defeating the current #1 P4P in the world will earn him just that.

May not actually deserve the title?
Now look I ain't no PBF fan and I agree an arguement can be made on whos #1 Winky or PBF. But the way it is he is #1.

Well not sure about #1 but he sure as hell would be top 5 FOR SURE! and I'll explain why, cause you would have to consider a couple of factors. 1) he hadn't lost since 1998. 2) Look at the quality of opposition he fought during that time. 3) He beat Zab Judah the then Welter. Champ. 4) He moved on to beat Gatti. From Zab and on all of this within 7 months. So if you ask me if Baldomir would have been #1 P4P I would say NO, top 5 yes. The thing that he lacks is IMO credentials prior to this he hadn't done much but beat Clottey via DQ. So thats were it hurts him.

ODLH has the credentials the opposition the titles. I agree about the inactivity you are right. But how many times do we not see fighters hold on to titles NOT defend them in months I mean almost full years and NOT loose status?
ODLH has his status as one of the best fighters around regardless of ho wlong hes off, why? Cause we all know his game and hes willing to fight the best. Look at his record win, loose or draw hes fought some of the best opposition in boxing.

Thats the way it works.
i dont have a problem with odlh being p4p #1.. he paid his dues.. stood in the ring and fought a war with the best boxing... if you could slug it out with julio ceasar chavez... you are something.. do you think floyd would fare well with jcc sr?
Well it all depends at what weight this fight would take place.
At 130 I think PBF would take a close decision over JCC.
At 135 & 140 I think JCC takes both of those meetings. As JCC had his finest work done there. A lot of people say JCC vs. PBF would be like the MTaylor fight which I disagree as PBF wasn't/isn't as flashy as MT was and certainly MT & PBFs body size/structure is/was different MT was more built. But these kind of match ups is really hard to call one can only judge on who they favor and or how they think the fight would turn out.
