-To all in the forum After how many weeks or months of training did your trainer finally let you start sparring?

It depends on the trainer and the gym. Personally, I tend to wait too long (I think) to get guys sparring even though I keep saying I'll be faster about it...But I take it personally every time somebody I train gets hit, like I cheated them somehow. A localtrainer that I have a ton ofrespect for gets guys in the ring as soon as he sees them do thei daily work out easily- usually it seems to be about three or four weeks in.

I sparred for the first time a couple of wekks ago, which was about 3 1/2 months into training. I was offered to a couple of months earlier but I didn't have a gum shield back then.
Definitely learned a lot more from sparring, makes me look at the other aspects of training differently, started to work more on my footwork now.

was a few months before I did 100% full contact boxing, sparred very lightley in my first session though. Main focus was on defence and the lads were going easy on me and backing off.... was mainly to get a feel for the ring.

My trainer is already about to have me sparring, we just have to get a good time for me to attend the new gym he wants me to spar at. Its the same one he did while he was pro. But I have only been with him for about two months, he says he knows im ready for it because when I came in he said he was amazingly impressed from what I had already learned, and when I told him I learned all of this on my own off the internet he was just so suprised. He just couldnt believe I had never had a lesson in my life and I took all the information from the internet and used it to get where I was. So yeah, just about two months.

I would have to say it all depends on u and ur personal development. Like how fast u advance ur in ur training and everything some people advance faster than others just like some people learns faster than others. I all just depends on u. It could be 2 months or it could be 4-5 months who knows.
