Byrd is a great boxer.
But I can only imagine he would have been legendary if he had been a Light Heavyweight or a Cruiserweight.
Wish he would go to Cruiserweight he would beat Mormeck easily.
wow thats sad going from the most recent longest reigning HW champ usually fighting on hbo wcb on sat nights to a wed night fight on espnOriginally Posted by Trainer Monkey

Don't worry, it will be uploaded tonight.Originally Posted by Majesty
Ill be watching and am excited to see Byrd back in action...I know alot of people thing he is boring because he lacks that one punch power but I think hes one of the best boxers in the heavies.I curious to see if hes lost a step from the layoff.
Is there going to be 2 fights? ..if so I would think they are gonna show Sherman Williams, who was supposed to be Byrds opponent tonight. Maybe they will meet next if they both win.
I KNOW I'm in the minority on this one, but I was ecstatic when Byrd got KO'd by Vladimir. To me, Byrd has been one of the most boring heavyweights in recent times. A nice guy and all that, but BORING. And that's saying a lot, given the state of the division. Byrd never belonged in the heavyweights. You can be a good boxer, and still try to be offensive-minded once in awhile. Byrd was not. He finessed his way to a heavyweight belt, only underscoring how messed up the division was and still is. The heavyweight division doesn't need the Chris Byrds right now. It needs more Vladimirs, who has been consistently improving since his two devastating losses to Sanders and Brewster.
I hope he looks better than recent. We saw what Vlad did, and I don't care what anyone says, Byrd lost that fight against Golota. If he dropped down in weight, he might revive his career. He has no business at heavy IMO.
