Byrd and Marrinaccio have a prayer together afterwards and Byrd is humble as usual, hes a religious guy and great for a sport where some of the personalities are shhall we say "questionable" heh. I wasnt bored. But I can watch a amatuer fight and be happy...Jimmy lennon calls that Marrinaccios arm was hurt..sure...tko win Chris Byrd

I did like Byrds speed he hasnt lost any quickness...the opponent wasnt great IMO. Overall I'd give him a B. Dont get crazy he still is gonna have to be sharp against the big heavies.

Byrd just laid back the entire fight. Probably didn't put his punches together in combinations more then 5 times the entire fight, and when he did he scored big time. Obviously just trying to get rounds in. Guy didn't really belong in the ring with him. Byrd looked in shape, got hit a bit but that was because he didn't have any problem with what that guy was throwing imo. Couldn't tell anything about Byrd's status as a contender from tonight really. At least I couldn't.

Always liked Byrd. Kind of weird though seeing a back foot fighter like Byrd move forward the whole night. Just something I'm not accustomed to seeing. Entertaining card. The bantam from KC got robbed, the Bahamian guy won one round and I thought the kid looked good despite the decision.

Also, heard a lot of stories of some real shady dealings and fighters getting screwed in the Bahamas. Hope everyone makes it out with the right amount of green in their pockets. But that was a pretty good card for the lack of big names on it. The Fogle - Mackey bout was very entertaining.

I thought Byrd fought poorly. Yeah, he had a year off but he's Chris Byrd. He may have took a year off even if he beat Wlad.

I have nothing good to say about his performance. Same ol lackluster Byrd who fought Williamson at a snails pace.

He landed 14 punches in round one and 15 in round 2. Garbage.

Bein a little harsh don't you think? Normally Byrd is an exciting fighter imo. And a counter puncher, he was just laying back trying to get rounds in. I don't really hold that against him.

At heavyweight, Byrd is a B fighter, and that isn't saying much considering todays heavyweight division.
