When Mike fought Lewis, he wasn't ready either. He was ranked 10th in the world compared to Lewis being the champion at the time. Mike wasn't ready for that fight and no doubt, Lewis did beat him even though he still had to lose points twice for hugging and holding Mike.

One of the reasons why I think that Lewis is not a fan favorite is because he is too "arrogant" and too "picky." He wants to fight who he wants, when he wants, like somebody owes him something. No one owes Lewis anything. He's no Muhammad Ali.

I haven't really read much of this thread cos everyone always starts bitching and arguing but that is a post I fully agree with mate. Sure, people will say that Tyson got loads of money for fighting Lewis but he was nowhere near gis best credit to him for getting in there- I'd never looked at it like that before.

Watching both Lewis and Tyson when they were at their best, I don't see how Lewis could have handled Tyson from the late 1980's, but that is just my opinion.

I also think Tyson would have had more success against Ali than George Foreman did- George hit him on the ropes with inaccuarte, wild shots that wasted energy- Tyson would have planted accuarte punches on Ali with speed and power- just look at the Holmes KO to try and feel what I'm saying...
