Yes he is the pound for pound champion, yes he talks a lot, but let's just take a look at his record............ if you haven't answered by now it is 37-0-0 with 24 KO's. Threads like this crack me up. If you're getting angry at his antics, and you're so sick of Floyd bragging that you just want to see Oscar shut him up..... then you're reacting EXACTLY THE WAY FLOYD WANTS YOU TO REACT.

This is the whole point of all this promotion. Nothing is a more guaranteed seller than a fight that has a good guy/bad guy angle. Oscar is the respected, veteran fighter, a role he plays very well, and Floyd is the brash, cocky, arrogant undefeated champ, a role he plays very well.

These guys are doing a great job promoting the fight, and Floyd is doing the vast majority of the work. Run an article search on the promotion of this fight, and the vast majority of the articles are about Floyd. He's doing a great job in getting people talking about this fight.

Ok,I begrudingly agree that technique and skill wise,the guy is at the pinnacle for sure. Anyone can see that. The rest of the post,I TOTALLY agree with. It annoys me alot when he says things like he is the greatest etc because he is nowhere near close BUT,all the personal stuff,the family issues,wife beating etc,I neither agree with nor condone but again,as you states,it's none of my concern. I think it's a bit like when people say "styles make fights". If Oscar was fighting whoever it would sell truckloads. If Floyd was fighting whoever then it would sell pretty well too, perhaps not the same level though. The fact that Oscar is fighting PBF is what is selling the tickets so fast. I don't think it matters what role PBF plays in the promo it would have sold due to the interest in the matchup for so long prior to the announcement. PBF seems to play this arrogant role as it is him. His mouth is 2 steps ahead of his accomplishments. He has fought good fighters and done very well, he is very skillful and fast, however a real P4P #1 would or should fight the best of the best and win. Even if he wins this one there will still be doubts due to Oscars age and infrequent fights over the last part of his career. Just like there are over many of his victories.
