Anyway, to answer your question, Mosley would be the best choice for someone preparing for Mayweather when it came to speed. But it's really not saying as much as that Mosley said he's just in there working on speed. And from the 24/7 he's not making Oscar pay for the mistakes he makes, and rather is letting Oscar get off while being defensive and firing quick combinations for Oscar to practice his own defense on. And that's what Floyd won't do.
Also I think Mosley neglects a punch that makes Floyd very special, his straight right hand, and personally I haven't seen Mosley throw a straight right hand in years, he always seems to loop it now after two flickering jabs.
Mosley can use angles but his style and Floyd's style couldn't be further apart.
If anything, Mosley can match or get close to the speed of Mayweather. But in terms of knee jerk reflexes and offense and defense combined as one, I don't tink you could find a sparring partner on earth to prepare you for that.
