Default Jeff Lacy vs. Evans Ashira!!!!

Who would win this rematch between Evans and Jeff?

In the Amateurs Lacy was KO'ed blank out in one round by Ashira.

Further Ashira defeated undefeated Smith in the pros (actually Ashira stopped Smith's pro time 21-1-1 with 14 KOs) (undefeated when Ashira defeated Smith), who had the edge over Lacy two out of three times in the amateurs, and most insiders also think that Lacy robbed Smith in the third fight and was given the Olympic Games spot....

I am a big fan of Robin Reid and just cannot stand the fact that Lacy beat him, stopped him and knocked him down 4 times.

If Reid does well in his comeback id like to see a rematch, it would be a good fight for both men, Lacy can fight someone he knows he can beat who has just made themselves viable again and Reid can erase the first fight against a fighter he knows his arch nemesis (Calzaghe) beat with ease.

Other than Eubank, Reid has been Joes hardest fight, in fact Reid has come closest to beating Joe, earning a split decision.

I dont really see Lacy doing anything now, anyone with desire will hurt him

does anyone know if lacy was actually sparked or was he just put down and stopped? cos i've seen some shocking and very questionable stoppages in the amateurs. plus lacy's style doesnt really suit the amatures much.
i know everyone is preeching that lacy was over rated all along, but i think he is quite underrated now. i still expect him to do alright. but he needs to sort his head out.

Lacy would win and amateurs are totally different from pros as Henry Tillman found out vs Tyson.

Yep people seem to forget how well Lacy was doing until that injury and still managed to win and i see Ashira vs Calzaghe and he couldn't even take advantage of one handed Calzaghe Lacy wins by Tko.

Well, he fought on with a torn rotator cuff, which is allot more than I can say for other so called Emeritus Chumps in higher divisions.

evans is to small to hurt Lacy, he would bully him around the ring and probably stop him mid rounds, Lacy did get a gift decision but he had a bad injury and the proof is that he hasnt fought since seven months later.

I think you're right, that if anything Lacy is probably underrated by now. It's just that at the time of the Calzaghe fight he was so hugely overrated that it's still difficult to find and settle at a realistic estimation of his potential.
I expect an injury free Lacy today is among the top 3-5 SMW's. As it stands i'd have Kessler, Calzaghe AND Mundine ahead. A guy like Bute could be close, but needs to prove it. That's it really. General talk today would suggest Lacy is completely done for and should hardly ever had been rated top 10. Don't agree with that.
I've certainly done my part of bashing Lacy. But keep in mind, that what i was objecting to was neither Lacy as a person/fighter or him being ranked inside top 5. What i was objecting to was the image portraid by some, that Lacy was a universally recognized no 1 at SMW untill Calzaghe got to him - that is the part that was IMO pure BS hype.
Ring mag had it pretty accurate from day one IMO (Lacy behind both Calzaghe and Kessler all the way).
