Juan Manuel Marquez. JMM is supreme as a counter puncher. Rafael Marqeuz. Heavy handed, explosive, skilled, & in the end...something of a fan favorite. Not exactly my cup of tea, as I favor the smoothness of the other bruvah from the same muvah, but I have always dug on the gent period.

Both are great in their own rights...so it's hard to pick one who is superior. If you could mix & mash 'em up...then you'd have the perfect boxer.
Interesting that you would say that, it's pretty much spot on but I think Raphael has the better defense. And you would think with Marquez being the more counter punching type, that would be more his forte. But he has one of the more underrated defenses in the game mo.

I like both, actually scratch that, I really like Rafa and I respect JMM. Think they will both be a force for years to come though, wouldn't be surprised to see JMM have 5 more solid years even at a lower weight division.

Not me. Maybe it's that he takes more risks...but he get's cracked a hell of a lot more than Marquez.

Not lately...but overall.

In the end...I really think that Juan's new desire to impress his fans is gonna be his downfall.
