When it comes down to which fighter would I pay to see in their prime, I'd definitely go to see Tyson over Mayweather, cause Tyson was devastating and electrifying, while Mayweather is likely to duck and dive to victory.  If I had to budget what I'd pay for tickets, I'd go £100 or so for a Tyson ticket, but I'd be lucky to scrape in the cheap seats for Mayweather, maybe at £30.
I agree 1000000000000000000000000000000000000% Rhunster!!!!!  I think your quite a few years younger than me and you might not remember the late 80's... I'm 31 and growing up in the Tyson Era was special he brought excitement and a certain Oldschool Gladiator ora to the arena with him when he came to the ring... He would have that cut up towel around his neck and then he would just pace the ring like a caged animal.... That bell would ring and he would hit just go after his opponent like a heat seeking missle... The KO is to Boxing what the Homerun is to baseball.. Its what the majority of fans want to see and probably the only thing a casual fan wants to see..

I personally enjoy a boring chessmatch and technical  masterclass as much as a good KO or TKO... Funny thing is you might want to evaluate a your monetery investment in a Tyson fight early in his career.... I remember the Spinks fight were it cost almost $50 on PPV which was big time bucks in the 80's and it lasted less than a round... Alot of his fights were like that... ALways enjoyed the free ones on HBO though
