Jewelry is a nice idea but it's also very risky.
Most girls are extremely picky over what sort of jewelry they will and won't wear in terms of style, size, type of metal/mineral, etc.
It's not meant as an insult to the buyer if they don't like the particular piece they receive, but it's almost like buying a woman some make-up or perfume.
If it doesn't really go with anything they own or their fashion style, it's very easy to buy the wrong piece of jewelry for them.
Unless you have a good knowledge of what types of jewelry she likes and doesn't, I just thought I'd warn you of the risks too.
If you're able to get her something with her brithstone or something personal like that, it might be cool though.
But otherwise, she might get the sense that she's receiving an arbitrary expensive gift compared to something more personal.
The personal things might cost less and seem less to you in that sense, but to the person who receives it, the sentimental and thought value put behind a gift like that is much more than the extra money put into something shiny.
