Default *How will Zab's chin fair against the stalking robot Cotto?*

Zab has always pissed me off with the way he losses focus in fights but I have always love his speed and he's got some juice in those gloves.

How do you think he will fair against a come forward machine like Cotto. Baldamir was a big come-forward fighter(although slower) and he got lit. Now you have Cotto who is a great Boxer/Puncher. Zab is fast but will he mentally break down due to getting discouraged over not being able to hurt Miguel?

I see exactly that happening and then making mental errors that will lead to an inevitable KO? Anyone who gets "The Ring" will see Cotto on the cover this month with a title, "Will Zab be the answer to the Mystery of Cotto?" As much as this is a step up for Cotto and Zab is a great boxer... I don't think so.

Well you are way off on that one Pride..... Zab is more that capable of hurting Cotto and will rock him a few times if not a TKO, Cotto has been down and rocked a few times and his chin is questionable .... Zab will be the strongest, fastest and most athletic guy Cotto has ever been in the ring with..

Zab is the favorite IMO...could be a big career mistake for Cotto...

I agree that he will be the most athletic and fastest fighter he's been in the ring with but I think he's been in there with guys with similar strength... of course Judah will be able to deliver his shots faster then the others... I'm sure Cotto will be rocked... more then once... I don't see cotto losing to Zab.

We know Cotto has had issues at 140.

We have not seen enough of Cotto at 147 to make any honest assesment, although in his debut, he made mince meat of the hard hitting south paw Quintana W 23 (18 ko's). Cotto walked thru Quintanas shots and was never phazed. Cotto has a lot of weapons he can use to try and discourage and confuse Zab. I just hope team Cotto has ironed out the glitches he showed against Corley and Malignaggi.
No doubt in my mind that these issues have been addressed and corrected. The Torres fight is of no concern or worries to me because that was just Cotto being wreckless and choosing to go toe to toe with Ricardo. It should be an interesting fight and I hope Zab comes in at 200% and gives Cotto a fight of his life. I want to see a war, I want to see Mayhem. I want to see both these guys visit the canvas.

    it can very well happen.

One thing that is certain is that Cotto will face hell early. If Cotto wants to do something shocking he'll start out the fight fast and go at Judah rather then wait for the onslaught. What I can say is that the first 4 or 5 rounds of this fight will be explosive.

But who knows, maybe Judah will come out looking to outbox Cotto which is also possible. But Judah hasn't come out like that since his first fight with Spinks and I don't think he will this time.

Why you wanto to see Miguel on the canvas? Against Paulie,I think he was just tired, the weight issue because when he was pressuring, banging to the body,he looked really good, but then the next round,he would just block,in essence taking the round off! I miss the patient defence orientated Cotto at times....

If Cotto catches Zab he will really hurt him. I can't see Cotto doing a Tszyu but one good shot gets Zab hurt and on the run, another 2 shots landed could end it. Zab is a dangerous fight for Cotto though so I am totally 50/50 on the fight. Its an exellent match-up (for me anyway) and could be really interesting.

I think that could well happen Danny and like I said, I think its a great match up. It's hard to predict.....and I like that.

Zab isn't hell early. Zab is just really good early, but it's not like he has any sort of abundance early KO's against legit competition. But he is very good early and he does have the ability to hurt Cotto. Especially if Cotto puts on the ear muffs and just tries to walk Judah down. That's how Cotto has been hurt before but I really really believe that Cotto has matured beyond that.

I think it's close early, maybe even through 8 it's even, but Cotto is a fairly patient and selective puncher. He does get frustrated, but he isn't ever really in a rush to get someone out of there which you can't be with Zab.

I guess it would be cool if Cotto came all out, balls to the wall but he's not really that type of relentless fighter, and he has to work as much as possible to keep whatever he can for the later rounds. Because past 5-7 rounds, he's just not anything resembling a special fighter.

Not well but the better question may be how will his body hold up?

If Zab can't hurt Cotto early, I doubt his chin or body will hold up, unless he runs the whole time.

I think it depends on what kind of game plan they both enter the ring with.If they both go in there swinging for the fences,I think that Cotto probably wins that battle. On the other hand...if Zab works off the jab, throws combinations, has his stamina up,and doesnt try to be overly impressive...he wins a UD.If Cotto mixes it up by throwing 123 combos followed by an uppercut in close range...I see him breaking Zab's will...and taking the fight.
