My worst accident was when I was 18. I had gone out drinking but got back home to discover I had lost my key. It was about 2am so I didnt want to wake up my parents. Anyways, I had the bright idea of climbing up to my bedrooms smaller window (which was slightly open) and reaching in to open the larger window and then get through that window. I managed to climb up to the smaller window and as I stretched my arm in to pull the larger windows handle I slipped and fell all the way onto the concreted garden floor. Then I decided to wake up my parents by shouting up to their bedroom.

My dad was less then pleased to be taking me to hospital at that time in the moring and I was less than pleased to discover I had broken a bone in my foot!

There was another time during my first winter in korea. We knew a few doctors and over some beers put together the idea for a game of football. Korean doctors against the Native English teachers! Winter is cold out in Korea and pretty snowy at times, when we got to the ground it was covered in 2 inches of snow. Not to be put off we went on with the game. About 5 minutes into the game I was running with the ball to the oppositions penalty area and then I was hacked to the ground and twisted my right leg horribly. I got up and tried to run it off but it was useless. I was subbed after about 7 minutes!!

Later, I met everyone for drinks and the doctor who felled me told me to go his hospital to check out my leg. The irony!! To be injured by a doctor and then treated by the said doctor!! I went to the hosptital the next day and him and his friend tied me up to a machine and started giving me nasty electric shocks to check how damaged I was. I had damaged my main nerve in my leg and movement was limited. I was told this would be a permanent condition! Even 4 years later my right leg feels different and not as strong as my left leg. I cant even skip rope! The ankle just cannot respond as quickly as it should. Running and walking are perfectly fine though.

On a side not the English teachers won the game 10:0. No surprise considering the were balding and chubby and we were all in our early 20's!!!

Have never had major surgery but if we want to compare injuries then i am the ayatolla of rock n rolla.

    Broken nose
    Dislocated both thumbs
    1 broken finger
    broken collar bone
2 broken toes (1 was the big toe)
    Dislocated shoulder
And Ive ripped the toenails off both big toes (this believe it or not was the most painful)
    Oh and bruised ribs
Countless sprains and pulls on hamstrings, wrists etc.

Its no wonder i now suffer from arthritis at 34 Good fun eh!

Dude I actually had a cyst right above my eyebrowl as well. I think I was like 17 or so. I went to the doctor and he said it was probably a pimple. I'm like I have had this thing for awhile and it keeps getting a bigger (it wasn't getting bigger rapidly or anything but it was gradually increasing in size) so the effin doctor gave me this friggen pimple cream. So after using the pimple cream for a little while I went back and he sent me the Dermatologist and thats when that doc said it was cyst. I had it removed and like you Miles I had stiches in my forehead. I used allot of vitamin E oil and took the vitamin E pills to help with the scarring. I'm now 25 and you can't even see the scar and thank god I haven't had another one since, knock on wood I don't get another one.

I also have a druken climbing story

It was about 4 in the morning, I was drunk and we had to walk my friend home. He had snuck out. So we walk and we call another friend who was a car and we decide to meet up for a bit at an elementary school. Ok, so we're at the elementary school waiting forever for him and I decide to climb on the school's overhang. Not quite sure how I got there but I did. So this particular overhang is really small. It is just covering like the top base of a flight of steps. It's about 8 feet above the steps and about 12 feet above the ground. So it's pretty significant for such a small platform. So I get up there, and I stand up and I stumble. I got up to quickly and I nearly fell of the thing then. So then I decide it's time to get down, so my friends, who are all more sober then me tell me to get off gently you know. Well I decide to just jump off and try to catch myself on the overhang. Well...I had to much momentum and swung and fell flat on my back, hitting my head on the top stop. No damage done though, luckily enough.

Later that night is when I jumped into a cactus
