Great read on a great fighter. man!
I remember an interview with Erik Morales not too long ago where he was asked to list his 3 hardest opponents in order... here is the list.

3: Marco Antonio Barrera
2: Wayne McCullough
1: Daniel Zaragoza

I think that says enough, the fact that El Terrible considers him his hardest opponent. Granted, this interview was before Morales encountered Pacquiao... but you get the point.

Yeah! he'd probably squeeze in Pac at #3 and move MAB to #4....

I wouldn't put too much stock in that list. That's just Morales' way of getting in one last dig at Barrera. Reminds me of when James Toney said that Merqui Sosa hit harder than Sam Peter.

Zaragoza was a great fighter though.

they had a article on him on espn boxing and he said there is alot of wear and tear on his body

when he went against morales the fight was pretty close before the body shot morales did

Yeah! the Erik-Zaragoza fight was such a good fight and the end of one GREAT Champ and the begining of a GREAT one.

Totally agree, Zaragoza is very much underrated. I saw him fight Fenech and that was brutal!!
