I like castillo winning via tko 8th round.
Hes still the one we're talking about, Still the one with the big paydays, stil got hbo contracts and big fights..Originally Posted by tysonbruno

He don't need to beat Castillo in dominating way. He just needs to beat him. This is his best and most recognized opponent since Tszyu. If he wins a hard war with JLC, he will increase his value and reputation. This is a great fight for both guys. Castillo needs to win or he will be considered over the hill. Hatton needs to win or he will be considered exposed. They are fairly evenly matched, and both are motivated. Either way, the winner comes out in great position for his next fight. It has all the makings of a great fight. Hatton doesn't need to dominate him. Just winning will give him momentum.Originally Posted by Julius Rain
It could backfire on Hatton if Castillo wants to make a fight of it and Hatton tries to smother too much making it an ugly fight.Originally Posted by SeanE

Unfortunately, I don't think Ricky is in the big picture for WW. Honestly, it might make sense for him to fight Witter. At 140, his options are probably Witter or Harris. It's a pretty thin division right now. None of those seem like the kind of superfights Ricky says he wants.
Maybe if Mayweather loses, Ricky would be a good rebound opponent...hmm. :P
I don't think Hatton could make any big fight happen at 147 at this point and there is really no reason for any of the 147 title holders to come down to a catch weight.
Two fights for Hatton, that are most likely happen if he beats Castillo are Witter or D-Hop both at 140.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.
I think there's more chance of him fighting Corrales than Witter or D-hop. Seriously I think might be having his last fight at 140 in June, unless a big name comes down to 140.Originally Posted by killersheep

Corrales couldn't make weight at 147, and he's on the decline. Sure he's an exciting fighter to watch, and absolutely would be a great fight with a great draw, I just don't see it reallistically happening.Originally Posted by yoitsdan

I thought about this. I guess it could happen, but I can't see what Hatton would gain, other than $$, from beating Corrales at this point. Corrales is on a losing streak and most people think he's done. I'm one of the people who really hopes he retires and opens a restaurant (he went to culinary school). If Ricky beats Castillo in a close fight, he'll get a free pass from fans to take a fight against a lesser name if he wants. He can make some nice $$ to shut Witter's mouth and stay at home.Originally Posted by yoitsdan
If Hatton were to destroy, I mean destroy, Castillo, he might put himself in a position to fight Mayweather or one of the big name WW's, but I just don't think that is going to happen.
