When Warren is making offers like that on his behalf you can't help feeling it's being done just to say "well, you can't say I didn't try and get a big fight." Joe has to stop taking the sure thing and take the risk.
CC cuz I thought he was Brit's best... I think I'll give the nod to hatton. You're absolutly right when you talk about the deal making... "I tried to make the fight but it fell through" Cuz marquee fighters don't fight for peanuts, Frank... He isn't stupid but HE THINKS WE ARE!
you normally make good posts, why iw as a lil shocked, not so much at the post but atyour logic.

you talk like calzaghe makes the offers or picks the fighters... Very few boxers in the modern game pick their fights, thats what the manager and promoters do.

I havn't seen calzaghe say he is or wants to fight RJJ next, the only time i have seen him speak on his next fight he was talked about taylor and kessler as the ones he wants, and has done since Bika.

Kessler pulled out of the july challenge don't forget, WARREN made the offer to taylor NOT JOE.

When hopkins was offerd $3mill to fight joe in the us after he beat Tito, that was "peanuts"? Or when RJJ was offerd over $5.5mill to fight him when he was in prime, again "peanuts"? I agree the Taylor offer seemed stupid, i thought it was a missprint when i first read it on text.... but that was one offer in alot of more than substantial offers.

Now don't get me wrong, don't go thinking "Oh ehre goes the welsh lad defneding his boy again" cause i want to see him in the ring with taylor and kessler as much, if not more than most... But that ball is basicaly in warrens court, all joe can do is train and be wanting to fight either one of them, and he is doing that...

If he doesn't fight both of them, or adleast Kessler, he will leave his carrer in seirous jeperdy. He gets stick now, but IMO he beats them and they will bring his carrer into perspective and alot will be less harsh on him...
I hear you... So basicly what your saying is a fighter doesn't have any say in who he fights? C'mon! Warren and Joe are on the same page. Protection!

As for the rest of your post I agree with you and I didn't take it like you were just rooting for your boy. I feel that his career needs to be put in perspective.

Warren needs to stop with the offering people peanuts... Expecting them to say no... Just so he can say they offered and the other guy backed out.

The public isn't stupid.
