Anyways, many people believe that Chavez was far removed from his prime when he fought Oscar. The fact is he was the same age as Oscar is now and he only had one loss, a SD to Frankie Randall. Chavez did have many wars, probably more than Oscar, but he get old overnight and lost to ther younger faster fighter. PBF has not had a punishing career at all so I consider him much younger than Oscar even though he may not be as young as Oscar was when he fought Chavez. Oscar wasnt a huge favorite to beat Chavez either, but he did fairly easily. Im pullin for Oscar but I can help thinking he may have the same fate of Chavez.
It's a good point you make here, I think Chavez had a long career by then and a number of his fights were close hard fought wins. Oscar hasn't been that active recently and he really hasn't been beaten up by anybody. Oscar should be fine come May 5th although you never know with the age factor, fighters get old in just a few rounds sometimes. I think Oscar should retire when he wins this fight.
I like youre confidence But youre right he should retire after the fight.
I thought i would stir the pot a little with that.
