He was getting beaten down, he was exhausted, the fight wasn't going to turn his way, he had nothing on his punches. Maybe his corner should have saved him from it by stopping it themselves.

He's just obviously not one of those guys who's willing to do anything to win, he's not a guy like Corrales. Seemed like he was almost relieved when the fight was over. Glad that he's gotten out of boxing rich and without getting hurt.
