JC Chavez had no amateur career to speak of and therefore his trainers are doing the right thing by bringing him along slowly. Now clearly it wasnt the best thing to do not to have an amateur career, that is where a boxer should always develop his skills, but with this mistake already made at least he's not being rushed.

I suppose there's a case to be made for being brought along while earning money, just as long as your not fooling the fans, which I dont see happening to the majority of boxing fans.
