This guy is on his way to being exposed. I don't think Jermain Taylor is even aware of this dude as much he thinks. People talk about this guy so much that its getting hard for me to look at him impartially. Boxing is so desperate to return to its former prominence as a sport that fans, writers, etc. are willing oil the "squeekiest wheel" then call it charisma or greatness. Allan Green did not really fight, yet he still put Miranda on his seat. Eastman had him knocked out on his feet and he was saved by the bell and then by a questionable stoppage. He broke Abrahams jaw and then could'nt finish him. And he has the nerve to complain about the fight continuing. Jermain Taylor is a totally different class of fighter than Edison Miranda and so are all three of his last opponents. Miranda even implying that Taylor is avoiding him is just a vain attempt to make himself seem more important and a better fighter than he really is. Come on now. The champion is ducking some nobody fighter from Columbia that talks trash in Spanish. Obviously, he is no longer a nobody but he has'nt been known of long enough for anyone to be ducking him. And, I really doubt that there were ever any million dollar deals on the table for Taylor vs. Miranda. Its funny that he's accusing Taylor of not fighting up to par competition when he just fought the longest reigning middle wieght champion(Hopkins) twice. In my opinion, he beat up on the best defensive fighter(Wright) in the sport. He outright whipped the busiest offensive fighter(Ouma) in the sport while forcing him to decrease is offensive output by nearly half. I would say that I can't wait to see Taylor and Miranda get it on, but I think Pavlik is going to whip Miranda. Staight punchers over looping punchers all day, and Miranda has a sleepy chin. I would rather see Taylor/Miranda than Taylor/Pavlik because I think there styles would make for more of an exciting fight, as opposed to a more tactical fight. But, mostly because this dude is inflated by his mouth more so than reality. And its time for some reality in the sport. At least when Floyd Mayweather Jr. talks trash its based in reality.
I think Pavlik would have the possibility of giving Taylor some real trouble. Miranda would give Taylor more of an oppurtunity to showcase his talents and he would beat the s!@t out of Miranda. Easily. Gauranteed!
