The problem with that mentality is that it is ultimately the fans that pay the bills.
You dissapoint them too much and bye bye paycheck.
That would be a terrible thing for boxing. IMO boxing doesn't need to cater to the lowest common denominator like MMA does (people who don't understand the fight game but just want to see blood and violence). I think there are more than enough REAL boxing fans to pay the bills, thats just my opinion though.
