Hearns chin wasn't as good as Lewis's chin.

I agree but pound for pound Lennox right wasn't as devestating as Tommy's,,,,

Problem with comparing a guy like Hearns who fought at 7 divisions and Lennox who fought at one division when he was huge-heavyweight it is easier for a guy with the size of Lennox 245-250 to defensively be stronger just because he is bigger. Just like saying, well if a 175 pound Tommy Hearns fought middleweights his whole career would he be able to take the punches better? I think Hearns took more clean shots punch for punch than Lennox and this is why he will be remembered more fondly than Lennox will. Lennox will be remembered for the Tyson fight and having a good right hand, yet Tyson was finished when Lennox beat him. Lennox never took many clean shots and neither did Tommy. But Lennox did the same thing Hearns did defensively, he leaned back and was hit moving back which made the punches look hard like in the Tua fight. But I just think Hearns had a better chin during exchanges against top notch guys who were his weight and size which is why the result of his fights are more exciting and entertaining. Lennox never really took the chance. The fact Tommy had exciting fights is not because he was not hit. Yet Lennox really was never in a great shootout. Vitali and Lennox was more give and take in rhythm, but not exchanges. As far as Heavyweight, Lennox was always bigger and he was the first of the huge heavyweights who use their power before they get hit with power, and usually he won out or guys really could not get close to him since he had that hammer of a right hand. Tua didn't want to get hit so he stayed back. . Offense being a good defense. I just think Hearns did pretty well considering he was always moving up in weight and was only stopped 3 times out of 67 fights. And the opposition which stopped him was great except for Barkley. Lennox was stopped by Rahman and McCall. Do I think Lennox had a terrible chin? No, just if a person hit him square he might have gone. He just had a good sense of staying away from exchanges.
