This fight will legitimize who Mayweather has fought because Oscar has only lost once to a opponent naturally his size or smaller (twice if you count a close fight with Pernell). Oscar is a different fighter than he was young for better and worse... he never had great timing, his handspeed was better when he was young, but his defense and right hand are better now. As his career has evolved he has become a better boxer and if Mayweather beats him as decisively as Jones beat Toney then he should easily be a contender with Roy. Regardless When Roy fought Bernard neither of them were even close to as good as they later became. What I am saying is skill wise Mayweather has always been superior to Roy, and if he had Roy's power p4p nobody would doubt him being perhaps the most skilled boxer to ever live.
