It was a quality fight. Floyd did a superb job and fromt he 7th onwards really began to box superbly. It was close up until the 7th and maybe Oscar had the edge, but there is no question who pulled away down the stretch...Originally Posted by JT Rock

I'll say this just like I said on your thread.... Why are the majority of Delahoyas superfights steeped in controversy one way or anotherOriginally Posted by CutMeMicK

Either way, it sucks and just brings a suspicious aura to things..... And all this horseshit will do nothing but rub poo on and detract from a good performance by both men, and for what sourgrapesOriginally Posted by CutMeMicK

I haven't bothered to read thru all the pages of this thread that I missed. I just got back from the fight party I was attending.
Mayweather clearly won this fight. If you don't think that's true, then you're not thinking clearly.
When I heard the first scorecard for DLH, I thought to myself, "Oh my god, this is Whitaker-Chavez all over again!!!".
Thank god the other two judges got it right.
Floyd won easy, like I said as soon as the fight was announced. Oscar fcked u,he needed to use the jab and when he did,he did well. Floyd was boxing superbly. His offence was limited though and at one time,Oscar made him look silly, when Floyd missed those strange arcing shots. Anyone who thought Oscar would win was dreaming, too limited, not enough jabs, not enough pressure, stared at Floyd too long,no straight right hand..
Like I said, when Floyd is pressured,it makes it hard for him. MAKE HIM FIGHT ANTONIO FWOCKING MARGARITO! Floyd would beat Mosley's ass bad,Mosley aint no pressure fighter.

margaritoi is a fcking buj and OHDY won that fuight
Floyd Mayweather is one the best DEFENSIVE boxers EVER. pERIOD.HIs D was amazing! Offensively,he is very limited but he does the right things.NO WAY Oscar won that fight,I had it to Floyd by 4.

Hmmm maybe it was the hype that surrounded this fight. I was really expecting more excitement hoping each fighter will try to dominate or at the very least have a distinct defining moment. After all the great fights we have watched prior to this fight (castillo vs. corrales etc. . .), this fight left me numb and uninvolved. I even felt more at awe when Mayweather gave Baldomir a lesson in boxing (that was sweet science). In this fight I had it even coming to the last 3 rounds. Then maybe Mayweather pulled ahead but really no defining moment in this fight. Maybe it was all the hype but Boxing needs more excitement than this. Sorry I know I may get some sad clicks but I have seen better fights with great boxers taking calculated risks. I even appreciated the Bautista fight with the Argentinian. Clearly both wanted to make a statement. What did each fighter prove in this match? We already knew Mayweather could box and evade. We also knew that OLDH can pour it on with a series of punches. Maybe this should have gone 15 rounds and then we would have probably seen some excitement during the championship rounds (14 and 15). Remember the fight between Sugar Ray and the hitman Hearns? Ali Frazier thrilla in Manila? Now those were exciting fights.
