actually most mexicans i know, know how to actually score a fight bro. so no most mexicans left the sports bar before michael buffer even came on in DISAPOINTMENT
I watched the fight with 5 Mexicans and 2 white Americans who all pulled for Oscar, and not one of them thought he won.
I sat in front of about 15 to 20 Mexican's that didn't know jack shit about boxing other than they were there to spill beer & piss & moan about Mayweather.

They all thought that Oscar won...even while at the end of every round they kept asking me if that was a round for Oscar or a round for Floyd.

That's the thing about decisions. It's a beauty contest. Everyone's opinion is different. Where I was watching the fight, everyone thought ODH won also. None of them being boxing fans. All they say is PBF is running, etc... I personally would have given the fight to ODH because of Floyd's trash talk and failure to even attempt to hurt Oscar. Now as a boxing fan, I feel the fight could have gone either way. I also feel that the punch stats are off. I think ODH blocked many of those punches and they were scored. It was by no means a dominant performance. And I think Floyd smiling every time he got hit says that he was feeling those punches. I think ODH took 2 punches late in the fight that he felt, the rest by PBF were pitterpat and he walked through them.

How can you make a guy look stuiped that hangs 12 rounds with you and you look more battered then your opponent anyhow? Floyd didnt win that impressively

maybe not super impressively but he won hands down. i have watched it four times now and i have it 117 to 115, Mayweather. Close but definitely an Oscar Delahoya loss and most of Golden Boy's punches were deflected and not scoring punches, while Floyd's consistently were, even though he doesnt hit hard enough to KO ODLH; that doesnt mean he wasnt landing scoring punches on his opponents head and body. This wasnt the most action packed fight but I found it exciting to watch two fighters of this stature go at it. Sure they could have done it a little bit more violently and with badder intentions but there is a lot of respect and a lot of strategy being employed at this level of the game and with the two styles involved. Yeah, Oscar says he made the fight because he was trying to press Mayweather to the ropes and land arm-punches on his body? And by "arm-punches", I mean punches thrown with just the arm, with no weight or shoulders behind it. No power. When Oscar was putting Mayweather on the ropes and trying to unload, he didnt unload with enough destruction to hurt Floyd, and he couldnt keep Floyd on the ropes...the P4P champ kept gettin out and around and away and every other direction than where Oscar's hands were. He slipped way more punches, he countered, and he landed way more punches. It should have been a close unanimous decision, not a split, and I don't really think there is any need to have a rematch because I think it would just be the same exact fight. I would rather see Floyd fight Cotto (who has the strength to put Mayweather on the ropes, has the stamina to keep putting him there, and possibly has a powerful enough body attack to hurt him and/or drop him there) and as for Oscar Delahoya, I would like to see him fight someone he has speed and boxing ability on but who doesnt have the power to knock him out. Possibly a Delahoya-Wright fight would be the victory the Golden Boy needs to retire with that one big victory. I would also like to see Oscar and Joe Calzaghe go at it but I dont think Joe can get down that far and I dont think Oscar will go up that far...

You guys make such a simple thing look like its really about something! Del La Hoya won that fight straight but he didnt get the call and thats it over! But dont try to make it as if Floyd Mayweather really went out there and did something because that just didnt happen they both fought well and it could haVE GONE EITHERWAY! ! !SYACXAS! ! !
