If you're talking about a serious difference in muscular ability (like you could bench press 300 and now you can only do 200) then you should see a doctor. But I suspect the difference probably isn't that great and in that case, it could be any number of things. What was your diet like that day? Did you do anything else earlier that might have stressed the muscles in question? Are you coming down with a cold? The flu?
Seriously, if it was a small step backward, it's probably nothing to worry about.
You can loose a lot of muscle in a week, bad diet being one of the causes.
Provided that you still stay active (walking around and such) and are not being a couch potatoe, it really doesn't matter what you eat. I try to eat as much as I can to gain weight, but I don't care what I eat. I don't worry about dieting.

Please dont say provided you walk around and such it doesnt matter what you eat. People will get the wrong ideas. Theres things called metabolism, calories, complex carbs etc
Keep on not caring about what you eat if that works for you. If you want maxmimum gain then you do your research and find out what is best for you. Its hard work.
