I guess I'm the only that didn't find it offensive considering everyone in his camp was wearing shirts that said 'Mayweather loves Mexico' in front and 'Mexico loves Mayweather' in back. He also had the Mexican colors on his trunks. It's not like he offered up tacos and tortillas before breaking the staff of a Mexican flag, throwing them to the floor and stomping on them (something that Hopkins did using a bag of rice, beans and the Puerto Rican flag during the promotion of the Trinidad vs. Hopkins fight). I feel he was just playing on the principle that NOT EVERY Mexican is a De La Hoya fan.

What the word on Mayweathers hat means is like saying (queer) alot of people use it in the US that way as in calling another guy a queer. But to tell you the truth a puto is a guy that screws a lot of girls in the real Mexican language. So for real he was calling Oscar a player and probably doesnt even no it.

I doubt he didn't know it. If indeed the word was on the hat (which I doubt), it is rarely, if at all, translated to 'queer.' The more acceptable translation, even among Hispanics like me (Puerto Rican living in NYC) is that of 'male whore' which would coincide with your assessment that it means a guy that is with plenty of women. That being said, I doubt further that if he really had that on the hat, that he was referring to Oscar since he is the self-proclaimed 'Pretty Boy' of boxing.
