Default Julio Diaz seeks unification!(ANYONE actually like this guy?)

Anyone think he can unsettle the other top fighters in his division? I certainly don't think so!

Not for me. Juan Diaz all the way. Lightweight division is looking really exciting at the mo, and in a year or two, could be the most exciting division around. I already think it is.

Juan Diaz is fun to watch... And Casamayor is great fighter.. But aside from that, I fail to see a lot of excitement at lightweight really.. If guys like Pacquiao Guzman Valero Soto etc eventually move up and carry the weight then absolutely it's going to be a great division.. But for the time being there's not a whole lot of talent there imo.

Juan Diaz vs. Freitas was a great fight.
Michael Katsidis vs. Graham Earl was a great fight

Morales vs. David Diaz should be good
Katsidis vs. Guzman should be fantastic.

There are plenty of good fighters in the division. Katsidis, Casamayor, Juan Diaz...the other 2 Diaz's aint bad, Guzman is stepping up. I think if Morales wins he may defend at lightweight if he gets his belief back. I'd like to see Jesus Chavez get a rematch once his injury is healed and Amir Khan has potentional on the domestic scene so there are plenty of good fights at the weight limit. Also, can you name another division were each champion has said their intention is unify and become the best?

Err... Can you name a division where this doesn't happen?? Yeah therre have been some good fights but my point was there are as of now only a couple real players in the division then a bunch of mediocre guys imo... Katsidis vs Earl may have been exciting but neither are world class fighters.. David Diaz is very average.. Morales is totally shot and shouldn't be fighting.. I expect Guzman to beat Katsidis fairly easily, but I can't understand for the life of me why he is moving up to lightweight... He has lost a lot of power every time he's moved up so far and the best potential fights for him are still at 130.. Valero, Soto, Pac, Marquez.. Reall Juan Diaz vs Casamayor is the only fight I'd pay to see at lightweight right now.. At other divisions there are more numerous big fights that could be made.

I like 'The Kid' hes good, would like to see how he does after the JLC loss I say this cause he hasn't fought anyone of note and the 1 guy he did fight, well...... We all know how that fight enede....

'The Kid' vs. 'Baby Bull' would be a good match up.

Right now dude, there aren't many unification bouts even materialising. I meant it'd be an exciting division because alot of the fighters are evenly matched. These will make great fights. I don't think Guzman will beat Katsidis. He's insanely strong. It's a mistake for Guzman to take this fight IMO.

Oh, and Guzman said he was stepping up for this fight to become a 3 weight world champion. However, he's going for an interim belt so I don't really count it.

i don't think he has enough to unify the division!
i actually picked Jesus Chavez to win against him and to me he probably would have won that bout

Will see but I think he has enough he always comes into the ring very well perpared. He is always taking care of his self no bad habits still lives with mom and dad goes to school. And has been winning all his major fights I like him in this fight he has all the other belts. He takes this one he has it all with nothing else to prove! Hes also still very young and even if he was to lose has plenty time to go for it again.
