But if you look at skill and if you did a round robin with all these guys, Roy Jones and Virgil Hill might have done ok. Obviously Roy beat Virgil, but Virgil was good also when he was from 1989-1994 or so. I think the Roy/Virgil era is underrated because many people think the opponents they fought were not the level of a guy like Foster. I disagree. Virgil fought Stewart, Czyz,Thomas Hearns, Frank Tate, Tiozzo,Maske,Devalle, Roy Jones,Lalonde,Mormeck and the list goes on and on, Roy Jones Jr. fought Hopkins, James Toney, McCallum,Griffin,Virgil Hill,Devalle,Harding,Tarver,Ruiz, and Glen Johnson. So Virgil and Roy fought every good fighter who came through the light heavyweight division since the late 80s to now.. 20 years of fighters. So they must be good. But somehow Spinks and Charles and Foster control the rankings.
