Re: Why do people choose to ride bikes?
I did ride. Having children put a stop to that. With the power to weight ratio of modern sports bikes and even some of the Harley's ATM, it is very easy for a rider to put themselves in a situation where the level of ability required to control a situation goes way beyond the skill level of the rider. This often results in problems and accidents. Riding bikes can be great fun, but just as with boxing there can be a high level of risk associated with it and people must take on training to ensure they are equipped with the skills necessary to avoid putting themselves at great risk. With boxing there will usually be someone there to tell you that you're not ready to fight at a particular level yet so you can't. You must train more and and prove yourself first. There is no-one in a persons garage telling them that when they start up their bike though.
