Floyd says he was gonna massacre Oscar. And you feel cheated that he didn't do that?
You're right. He should've came out and said, "Come May 5th, I'm gonna beat Oscar by a split decision! Y'all wait and see!"

See I look at this from a business standpoint. I am in business, I have to sell things to make a living, and if I lied intentionally to make more sales, I would not get praised for it and be called a "smart businessman" However many people here think Floyd lying about how he's gonna fight is "smart" and good business. He did it two fights in a row. I never expected him to allow the other guy to hit him, but he could have been alot more offensive in both fights. The deal is I half believed that Floyd had enough anger, and since this is his "last fight" he would come out and put on a career defining performance. One that there would be an HBO Legendary Nights episode about. There probably will be one, but not because Floyd left it all in the ring.

I just don't think he earned that big paycheck. I think he cheated to get it, and the thing is he probably could have earned it and made alot of fans if he showed something. He didn't, so he gets no respect from me, and I will bitch for a few days. If you don't like it then don't read my post and worry about defending the honor of poor little Floyd.... Unless your on his payroll, then by all means do what you get paid to do, and EARN YOUR PAYCHECK!!!

Floyd may very well have had every intention of "massacre" ing Oscar.

But when he got in that ring he used the best gameplan to win that fight and win the fight he did.

Boxers say what they say it isnt like Floyd knew he wasn't going to.

HE said he would embarass Gatti and massacre him and guess what, he did.

Not the same level as oscar and rightfully so.

But Floyd may have meant every single word he said at the time he said it but when he got in the ring he decided to do exactly what would get him the victory.

Sure he could have went to the body more and dont this or that to really put it on Oscar but Oscar could have done a lot more too so don't blame Floyd.

He delivered, he won the fight and Oscar didnt.

I guess you want fighters to be 100 percent honest?

If you like a fighter, they can do no wrong. I remember your long defenses of Zab after his fight with PBF. That's all it is, you defend every fighter you like. I am talking about outright intentionally misleading people. That's what PBF did. He had no intention of fighting an offensive fight. None. He knows he doesn't have many fans, and that his fights get booed when he fights safe and throws a punch and moves over and over, and he knows that he could make it seem like he was gonna fight instead of just dodge punches. It's all about intention. PBF didn't intend to do what he said. It's fraud because he did it on purpose. He also knows that the checks are already made out before the fight, so a boring performance isn't going to change his paycheck.

Doesn't mean he's not a good fighter. It means he has no integrity and I don't respect him. Now you can list all the faults of all the other fighters, and name some patriotic and charitable things that PBF does, but it's not gonna change my opinion. I think Floyd is a scammer and should be chastised, not applauded. Maybe then he will finally step up and achieve his potential.
