Default Judah 'fully prepared!'Super Zab Runs 8 Miles A Day, Spars Countless Rounds

    http://www.fightnews.com/boxing/bc/toprank04.htm

Zab Judah is running 8 miles a day, sparring 10 or more rounds daily, taking on spar partners who studied Miguel Cotto video tapes "for weeks" said promoter Brian Young today in Memphis. "Zab is fully prepared," said Young, president of Prize Fight Boxing which promotes Judah. "Zab just sparred 10 hard rounds at our gym in Memphis. He went in against sparring partners who studied Cotto video tapes for weeks." The sparring partners include high-energy Lamont Peterson, a 20-0 junior welterweight, and Anthony Peterson, a 22-0 lightweight.

WOW,thats intense training and awesome sparring too! I guess he will be far more prepared than he was for Floyd. Cotto better be fwocking training hard!

This fight is a pick 'em so I agree with Lyle in that there can be no upset as such. Zab is going to come out fast and hard looking to make his statement. If Cotto can get through that unscathed then he will have it all going for him. I just dont think it will be possible to come through it unscathed though. I think Zab will beat Cotto, but I wouldnt be shocked either way...

No pick em for me,Zab hasnt been able to take pressure in the past,Cotto can deliver it in abundance. Zab couldn't take Floyd's bodyshots,Cotto hits tonnes harder to the body and head. Zab has shown a weak chin and been down countless times, and Cotto is possibly the hardest punches he has faced. Zab's speed could be troublesome and it sounds like he is preparing 100% for this fight but Cotto is still favourite for me,I just hope his training is as intense as Zab./s

i can't pick a winner either their too closely matched. as people have been saying if cotto manages to get past first 5 rounds i'm going with him just because i reckon zab is going to go for a full out assualt and try to knock cotto out or get a tko. if this fails he's going to be getting tired in the middle too late rounds, even though he's goign to be in terrific shape i just see cotto hanging on and pounding his body that much cotto will win on points or by tko.

ahhh its too damn close but i'll go on a gutt feeling and say zab even though i don't like him much.

also if cotto doesn't beat zab there ain't no chance he'll fight mayweather.

Don't matter how hard he trains you can't train the mental side of boxing and this is what will let Zab down again Cotto by 10th round tko or ko after being staggered few times.

Cotto's gonna have to brush up on his defense for this one...watch & see...everyone's underestimating Judah.

No matter who wins there is no upset.....unless of couse they draw, that in my opinion would be the only way this fight could surprise me
Gotdam Lyle, agreeing with you 2 days in a row Hahaha! An Error Has Occurred!

Yep Cotto has heart Zab dosent, thats why this fight wont go past 7 Someones counting ceiling tiles at the Garden that night. Either Zab flashes early on or Miguel breaks him to pieces and pounds him into submission

Zab won't stop Cotto early i wouldn't be surprised if Cotto stopped Judah with in 3 to be honest.

Default Judah 'fully prepared!.....Super Zab Runs 8 Miles A Day, Spars Countless Rounds

    Judah 'fully prepared!'

Super Zab Runs 8 Miles A Day, Spars Countless Rounds in Memphis in preparation for Cotto on June 9

    Friday, May 11, 2007

"When we announced Zab was fighting Cotto I went right to the film library," Young said. "I got six good Cotto tapes, gave them to Lamont and Anthony, told them to look at videos over and over. Our ultimate goal is to get every Cotto move down and win this fight.

"The Peterson brothers previously worked with DeMarcus Corley before he fought Cotto and looked at what happened in that fight," Young said. "As far as Judah goes, it's pretty much understood that the fight against Cotto will not be going the distance. That's how confident Zab is."

"Cotto chose the wrong fighter," Judah said. "I'll need about five rounds. New York is my town, not his."

I was a little suprised when reading BM at how close they seemed to think the two fighters were compared to internet forums who mainly see Cotto as a fighter who is a Level above Judah.

If I can watch this fight live then I'll stay-up for it as it is a fascinating battle.

Judah has more experience against better fighters. I also think Judah hits just as hard as Cotto and he will be the hardest puncher Cotto has faced. Judah will probably hurt Cotto early but he better stay on him and keep his composure or Cotto will dismantle him down the stretch and probably stop him. If this fight goes to decision it could be very close but I see a Judah victory. But if Judah doesnt come in focused he will get stopped. Judah hasnt had a win in 2 years so he knows whats at stake for him and Cotto may be due for a loss.

I think Judah is going to cause Miguel Cotto problems but I just see Cotto getting closer and closer to a mobile Judah and those bodyshots wearing down Zab for a mid rounds ko finish around the 7th.
