I believe that the problem comes from the poor heavyweight division. For me, Welterweight is where it's at, but that is not the blue ribbon division, even though it is more exciting than any division of the last 10 years. Who knows, if Mayweather does stick around, hopefully his bad image will attract people who want to see him knocked out, and with Mosley, Cotto and Hatton around, it is not beyond all realms of possibility.....if he makes the fights.
