I really think at 140 Hatton is nearl unbeatable. Pacquiao is a freak, and a great fighter no doubt, but IMO, he lost both times to Juan Manuel Marquez. I also think the fight against DeLaHoya really only once again proves the adage that when a fighter talks about retiring, he already, in effect has.
I think Hatton wears him down in a classic brawl and finishes him in the later rounds.

    For me pac stops hatton,

If hatton manages to box and get his shots off as cleanly as he did against paulie its an interesting fight and competitive, if he is hatton of old its a brutal white wash..

But lets not forget Malignaggi didnt let his hands go, he wouldnt throw more then two at anytime, which is paulies whole game.. you can look very good when you remain composed and unhit, paulie put three and four etc together once to my recollection in the entire fight and put Ricky off balance with it.

If anything Pac will be the true test of hattons newly re found sharpness cause pac is as fit as can be and pac doesnt let people dictate.. he doesnt like to get hit, and when he does get hit his style always seems to be that he answers back hard and fast, that with his recent improvement in defense, footwork and general ellusiveness, his natural footspeed bodes well for him to counter well when he answers hattons punches.

And plus, hate if you will but i dont think highly of hattons chin, i think hes going to get stopped mid to late.

But im looking for a classicly fast paced, entertaining fight.. with the difference in this fight and what makes it so entertaining bieng the footspeed,i think Pac has the edge on hand and footspeed but i admit hatton carries both bigtime as well, when he is in tip top shape, i.e in the early wbu title defenses (stewart, tackie, olivera, phillips, mcgee etc) he had before he seemed to step up and held/hugged stayed put alot more.. but the earlier fights had the stepping in and out, head movement, begin with slips, alot of jab work and stepping round to find the shots.. as we saw in part when he was full of energy in the opening round vs mayweather.

If they both go hard and are fit then it could be very entertaining.

The current PACQUAIO KO/TKO's Hatton in less than 10 rounds.

Pac of old will just stalk you and try to knock you out. Hatton may beat that pac but not the current one.

PAC's speedy footwork would bring so much trouble for Hatton he wont be there to be hit. Pac will land 4 to 6 hits combo then move backwards. land 3 to 5 power bombs then move to the right side. I really dont think Hatton will see the 12th

The Lead straight Left will also be a big factor, this will rattle Hatton's offensive rhythm.

Also it had come to me that we should think about Hatton vs Mcgee, Collazo, urango.. Ricky isnt in love with southpaws exactly..

I just wanna see the fight happen! I, too, think Ricky is unbeaten as a LWW. So Pac will be a slight underdog as the fight time closes in. I love this. BOTH are in their prime.

And I don't agree that Hatton has looked bad since Tszyu. With his physique, he was never meant to have easy fights. He's a volume puncher, with strong legs, short arms, good footwork and great stamina.

This means he is going to get his opponents down the stretch. Everyone he faces is gonna get some decent shots off on him.

Hatton! no questions. Pacman is a great fighter but hes just not ready for this type of fighter. I got money on Hatton. KO

I just cannot believe Manny is going to fight Hatton. Hatton is a great fighter losing once to Mayweather in his 40 something fights as a welter weight. Manny is a great fighter but hes coming from a Super featherweight. When a small fighter like that tries to move up so quick bad things happen. I wish him the best though.

If there was dedicaton to the sport it would have to be Manny. He sleeps in a closet with no furniture in his house. Can he afford it? Yes but he wants no distractions! Motivation is a mutha...lol

Its absolutely stupid that he needs to be a baby about the money. Dude you have 12 Million guarantee that should be plenty!!! even 20% will get him a good 11 Million alone but Greed is also a Mutha...LOL

Don't be to cocky it always bites you in da ass!! Lesson learned. I def gonna watch that

I can see pac out boxing him in the early rounds.. not hurting ricky, but racking up the points.. then he will make a defensive error and leave himself open, like he did often against JMM, and Hatton will catch him with a smoking hot shot to the ribs, and pac man will be on a downward spiral from here.. he will survive the next 3 rounds but be DOMINATED and will often be clinging onto ricky for dear life, then Ricky will finish him off with a barrage of more body shots in the 9th.

This is all depending on if Ricky uses his body shots, which were almost non-existant in the malignaggi fight.. I didn't understand it, is Floyd encouraging him not to use arguably his best punch in his arsenal?

ricky will attempt to bully pacquiao around the ring ala what marquez did in their 1st fight and a bit in their second.

If manny is able to box hatton at a reach he`ll beat him comfortably, if however it becomes a fight rickys gonna be in for a career defining moment as i genuinely believe he has what it takes to beat manny up.

Heres my take one the fight...Ricky will have trouble early on adjusting to Mannys speed and style. Then I think things will fall into place and the tides will begin to turn around rounds 4 or 5. I think in the first few rounds a few important things will happen. One, pac will continually land his left hand on his target and realize that his while he lands his punches, he cant back up the Hitman. Two, Ricky will begin to establish the jab, yes the jab. And it will land for him more and more as the rounds go by. And three, Ricky will start to take control around the 3rd round by starting to settle down and stay more toward the center of the ring. That brings use to the middle rounds. To Mannys surprise, while he is using a lot of movement and throwing a lot of punches, the usually easy to find Hatton has become a little harder to find especially while hes working behind his jab. Manny is still able to connect with flush right hands and short uppercuts from time to time, but Ricky doesnt seem detered and continued coming foward, cutting off the ring.
Round 7: Manny is the one looking frusterated and finding himself on the ropes more and more. Rickys confidence is growing and he is beggining to throw more combinations, body head, body head. The fight is now being fought in closer quarters. Round 8: Both men come out, looking like they both have taken some good shots, mainly because, well, they have. Mannys cut above his right eye, and Ricky red around both eyes with his right eye nearly swollen shut. Despite their appearences, both start the round strong, trading punches, but about a minute into the round Manny is showing signs of fatigue. He is holding his hands a bit low, and his legs appear a bit shaking. At this point, Ricky is the stronger of the two, and he senses that his man is slowing. Suddenly, at the end of the hard fought eighth round, just seconds till the bell, a hard left hook to the body sends the brave Filipino warrior to the canvas. One, two, three, Manny makes it to a knee but continues to grimace in pain, four, five, six, his frustration is visible in his eyes, as his brain is telling him to get up, but his body is not responding, seven, eight, nine, he manages to make it to his feet within the count, but unable to stand upright, hunched over, and clearly not fully recovered, the referee waves his hands. He has seen enough. The crowd roars, but there is no one in the arena is happier, and more relieved than Ricky "The Hitman" Hatton, winner by 8th round TKO.
