EASY.. there are a couple of ways to beat such a slacker!
#1 My favorite, TIME....use all of it! Take a team like Baltimore and run the ball and do short passes and take all day to score, use 3 or 4 downs to get a 1st down, use up all the play clock and keep the game clock running......his time SAVING play style would play right into your hands (but a word of advice.....always have a deep threat, Carolina's Steve Smith is good for that) Also if you play short quarters as most people do (not me baby, I'm 12 minute quarters[NCAA] cause when I play I like it to seem real, it helps with my play calling and such) you can use up entire quarters just by running the ball....3 yards in a cloud of dust....and the friggin play action is there all day!!!! And the draw play too
#2 On Defense use the PREVENT defense in the DIME formation....hail marry my ass.....he'll complete short passes but nothing over the top....use the Nickle for blitzing....(the nickleback blitzes and is untouched for the most part when you send a LB too)
I ususally just use the same D all the time, 4-3 blitzing the blindside LB...and I'll switch up the blitz from inside the tackle to off the end
When I run my offense I like to see if they are in man or zone (use your motion man)....if they are in man you can go deep, if they are in zone you want a post or slant behind the LB's and infront of the safety.
If they blitz a lot use the screen passes to your RB and if he starts playing those better run the play but have a WR check to a slant and it'll deffo gain yards especially if he's using that playside LB to cover the screen
