He should and can but imo he's SO HARD he ain't scared to batter the tits for a final defense of his dom belt.
    BIG BALLS...?

Big balls to fight washed up former champion

Im not rating Froch at all until he beats a fighter in top 10 because so far he has beaten domestic and below average opponents.

    For sure
When your knocking on the door of a world title only to go and defend a belt (Londs) that is basically beneath you, shows spine, self belief and confidence
    And Balls....

When you say this is a goer, has something been signed

Surely Reid still has to fight Catley for the privalige ?

After all the bb of c nominated them both to face each other in an eliminator.

I give Reid as good a chance as any if he gets the Cattley fight and wins before hand other wise its just another rusty or out of shape fighter in the last chance saloon

    Cmon smash, clarify your comment

Is this fight deffo happening and is it conditional of the Cattley fight or does Reid just get a straight shot

Froch himself has clearly stated that he will defend his Lonsdale belt against the winner.
I see Reid winning hence the thread

Oh, the way I read it, it looked as though Carl was gonna fight Reid regardless of eliminator

I have just read on boxing scene that Glen Catley has pulled out of the eliminater so the BBB of C has nominated Reid as challenger for the British super middle title by no later than the end of October.

This is bad news in my eyes for Reid as he deffinitly needed a competetive match to sharpen up, I was basing his chances against Froch on his winning the eliminator now im not so confident for him, unless warren does him a favour and gives him some warm up action on a couple of undercards.

Reid needs to get on the Skelton undercard on the 26th of this month and the Kahn one on the 14th of July, these are 2 upcoming Frank Warren shows that Robin could get some more ring time on.

Should be a comfortable win for Froch but it is quite an intriguing fight and I hope it comes off. Though I had thought Froch was lining up Denis Inkin now that a calzaghe fight is a no-no.

That's the reason I rate him. He's cocky, but he's isn't scared of anyone. He was begging for the Inkin fight, but I think Inkin's camp don't want it because their boy has the #1 WBO rating and aren't willing to risk it. To fight Reid would just be to shut him up.
